Life / LTD

Life Ins: 1 times annual base salary

LTD: following 90 day elimination period, 60% of normal weekly earnings while disabled, up to age 65.

Vacation

Vacation hours are based on monthly accrual. 

Accrual after 6 month orientation period

Vacation Cash-Out:

After six months of service, employees are eligible to cash out a portion of their accrued vacation time.  Vacation Cash Out request must be made in increments of at least 40 hours. 

Vacation Cash Out request forms must be submitted directly to the Payroll Manager at least 10 working days in advance of the pay cycle in which it will be received.  Vacation Cash Out is available at the following maximum amounts:

Less than 5 years  3 weeks Up to one week (40 hours)
Five to Ten Years 4 weeks Up to two weeks (80 hours)
Ten or more years 5 weeks Up to 3 weeks (120 hours)
 
Part time employees who have prorated vacation time, may cash out their vacation at the prorated schedule.   Employees are eligible to use the Vacation Cash Out benefit once  in each calendar year.

a) the employee must be employed 30 hour or more per week
b) the employee must be employed in a position where at least 60% of the employee's wages and benefits are funded by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
c) the employee must have completed at least six months of employment at the time of submission of application
d) the employee must have applied for and been admitted to an eligible state supported course at a community college, state college, or University of Massachusetts.

Payroll Debit Card:

VISA Payment Card gives you another direct deposit option. Your pay automatically goes into your VISA Payment Card. Funds are immediately available on payday.  You may get cash from VISA and CIRRUS ATMs worldwide.  There is a $15.00 fee per year for the card which is deducted from your pay.  There is a $1.50 fee charge per pay period for money to be loaded on the card.

You can apply for a card by completing the application form and returning it to Human Resources.  Your card will be mailed directly to you.  You MUST advise Human Resources and complete a Direct Deposit Form to begin utilizing the card.

Flexible Spending Accounts:

Medical &Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, or, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA’s) allow you to set aside money on a PRE-TAX BASIS to cover medical or daycare expenses for yourself, your spouse and all dependents claimed on your tax return.  You may select either the Medical Reimbursement Account to help cover out-of-pocket medical, dental or vision expenses; a Dependent Care Account, which will reimburse you for daycare expenses; or you may choose to participate in both accounts.

Eligibility for enrollment is upon hire or during Open enrollment periods.

SHF 403 (B) Plan / Tax Deferred Annuity

The SHF 403 (B) Plan is financial plan to help you meet your long term financial goals. SHF has partnered with PFG to provide a quality retirement plan that gives you the opportunity to take advantage of tax deferred savings.
