Affirmative Action

Affirmative Action: In accordance with the obligations imposed by Executive Order 11246 and its implementing regulations concerning affirmative action obligations of government contractors, Seven Hills has established an Affirmative Action Program designed to enhance the utilization of minority groups and women in areas where there is an underutilization. New Hire Orientation & Enrollment

Orientation & HR Enrollment: sessions are most Mondays with the Human Resources Department; completion of various payroll, insurance, federal and personnel forms; receipt of information regarding employee benefits, a copy of the job description, and a copy of the Employee Handbook. Contact Judy Vogel at JVogel@sevenhills.org to register. These sessions should occur in your first week of employment.  

The Enrollment session also includes initial training sessions with Seven Hills Professional Education Director

 

Initial Training 
 
Initial Training: Employees are required to attend training session provided by the Professional Education Office.   This session includes training and review of : 
Mandated Reporting/DPPC Seizure Awareness
Sexual Harassment Infection Control
Confidentiality Temperature Reading
Blood borne Pathogens
This session also includes review of relevant Seven Hills Polices and Procedures. Additional in-service training requirements are required based on the employee's particular job.

 

Department Orientation

  Department Orientation: arranged by each department head/supervisor in accordance with Seven Hills Foundation assessment of the needs of the department and/or employee. This orientation is initiated upon commencement of employment.  

 

 Interview and Application

  All applications, resumes, and letters of intent are reviewed by the Human Resources Office. Qualified applicants will be contacted by Seven Hills and interviews will be scheduled accordingly.

Seven Hills requires a Criminal Record, Background and Reference check of all applicants.

Intern Opportunities
Seven Hills Foundation encourages students to participate in their school's internship programs, which are openly welcome here. Because Seven Hills is so large, the scope of careers is widely varied. Each internship is taken on  a case by case basis and is designed to comply with each specific school's criteria. Continuing Education

 
Training: Seven Hills offers a wide variedly of required and elective courses. All employees are supported to participate in these courses and based upon their job requirements, are required to complete certain in-service training sessions within the first 6 months of employment. 

Employees are notified of these requirements at the time of hire or job transfer by their supervisor. All employees are evaluated on their participation at required in-service training sessions.

Professional Conferences

  Any employee who wishes to attend a professional conference or seminar should obtain written approval in advance from his/her department head.

Employees who have completed training sessions are supported to enhance their capabilities through ongoing educational opportunities and challenges.

Seven Hills may permit an employee to have reasonable time off to attend such conferences or seminars and may assume reasonable expenses associated with such activities.

  A program has been established to recognize outstanding contributions by employees. Each quarter, Employee of the Quarter are selected for each Seven Hills affiliate based on nominations by all employees. 

The President/CEO also may choose to recognize a particular outstanding employee through the President/CEO's Award.
